IRIS® Impressario

IRIS® Impressario is a total printing solution for the Silicon Graphics® environment providing high-performance PostScript® image rendering (RIP) and enhanced printing productivity in a network environment. IRIS Impressario is composed of two partsImpressario Server, which resides on the server supporting the printer; and Impressario Client, which provides a complete, graphical, end-user printing environment for the network client workstations.

The Impressario developer's kit includes all Impressario server products plus sample source code, implementation examples, and documentation. The kit enables vendors to create software that interfaces with the Impressario printing environment, or to provide support for a particular I/O device.
